Job Title: Director of Intervention

POSITION SUMMARY/OVERVIEW
Under the direction of the Executive Director of Bridge the Gap, the Director of Intervention manages the school-day intervention program for two school districts: Sausalito Marin City School District (SMCSD) and Shoreline Unified School District in West Marin. The Director of Intervention supports and supervises the staff participating in such programs. The SMCSD program is in its fifth year and is fully functioning. The Shoreline program is being developed this year and will launch next school year (2027-28) with two teachers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education

- Bachelor’s
- Master’s in Education Preferred
- Teaching credential Preferred
- Related Experience
-
- At least 3 years teaching K-8 students
- At least 2 years designing and implementing intervention programs for K-8 students
- Working with underserved and underprepared K-8 students
- Working with racially, ethnically, and linguistically diverse students
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Research-based best practices for increasing student achievement in math and English language arts
- Research-based best practices for working with students who are English Learners
- Strong collaboration skills
- Ability to partner with teachers, principals, and superintendents, sometimes in challenging situations
- Licenses & Certifications

- Valid Teaching Credential preferred

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Compensation is based upon experience. This position is a full-time exempt position. The salary range is $105,000 – 115,000 DOE. Benefits include medical, dental, a flexible spending account, a 401(3b) with contributions, PTO, major holidays + commuter and cell phone allowance. Other benefits include working with an outstanding team and wonderful community partners.

POSITION SCHEDULE
Full-time: Monday – Friday (with schedule flexibility as needed)
On-site hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM on school days
Summer schedule: Varies/TBD
Approximately one day remote per week is allowed. Four days are at school sites and the BTG office.
